I am David Jeng
My Story
David Jeng’s journey in entrepreneurship and innovation began over a decade ago while he was still a university student. Early volunteering experiences opened his eyes to the transformative power of entrepreneurship in shaping lives and driving economic growth across Africa. However, it was during his time working in banking that David realized he was destined for more than climbing the corporate ladder. Although financially successful, every day felt like he was pursuing someone else’s dream. Motivated by a desire to create real impact, he made a bold decision to pivot and start anew.
Since then, I have dedicated over 12 years to advancing entrepreneurship, innovation, and policy development across Africa. I have trained more than 4,000 entrepreneurs in over 10 African countries and collaborated with leading international organizations such as the World Bank, the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). My work has helped scale businesses addressing critical community challenges, especially empowering young entrepreneurs from underserved regions to access opportunities and lead boldly.
David’s leadership extends beyond training and mentorship.
He has served on influential boards that shape public and private sector policies, supported startups from ideation through impact, and helped governments engage with grassroots stakeholders to foster inclusive economic development. In every forum, I carry a mission: to ensure African entrepreneurs are not only heard but prioritized in the continent’s development agenda.
